Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is an evidence-based psychological treatment designed to help individuals, particularly children and adolescents, recover from trauma, PTSD, and distressing life experiences. It integrates cognitive-behavioral techniques with trauma-sensitive interventions, aiming to reduce emotional and behavioral symptoms while improving overall resilience and coping skills.
TF-CBT is grounded in cognitive-behavioral psychology, neuroscience, and exposure therapy. It operates on the principle that trauma changes thought patterns, emotional responses, and brain functioning, particularly affecting the amygdala (fear response), hippocampus (memory processing), and prefrontal cortex (decision-making and regulation). By restructuring maladaptive thoughts and engaging in gradual exposure to trauma-related memories in a safe, controlled way, TF-CBT helps rewire the brain’s response to trauma and promote emotional healing.
Reduction in Trauma-Related Symptoms – Significant improvements in PTSD, anxiety, depression, and emotional dysregulation.
In today’s challenging professional environments, strong leadership requires more than just strategic skills – it demands empathy, resilience, and the ability to create safe and supportive spaces. This course explores the transformative power of trauma-informed practices to help leaders understand the impact of trauma on individuals and teams. By learning to lead with sensitivity, awareness, and care, you will cultivate a workplace where trust, wellbeing, and productivity thrive.
Trauma Coaching is a holistic, strengths-based approach designed to help individuals process and heal from trauma while regaining control over their lives. Unlike therapy, which focuses on deep psychological healing, trauma coaching is forward-focused, empowering individuals to develop resilience, coping strategies, and personal growth in response to past trauma. It integrates neuroscience, mindfulness, and cognitive reframing techniques to support long-term recovery and well-being.
Trauma impacts the brain’s stress response system, particularly the amygdala (fear center), hippocampus (memory processing), and prefrontal cortex (rational thinking and decision-making). Chronic stress and trauma can dysregulate the nervous system, leading to emotional overwhelm, avoidance, and difficulty in daily functioning. Trauma coaching helps rewire the brain using neuroplasticity principles, self-regulation techniques, and a strengths-based approach to restore confidence, emotional balance, and a sense of
Martina has been an incredibly massive part of the 'healing' process throughout many years I have been back and fourth with PTSD I have realised you will never be fully healed with trauma from the past but you can learn to deal with things differently. I could not have done this on my own. Thank you Rapha therapy for helping me realise you can accomplish anything you set your mind on doing.
I attended Martina's training session on Trauma informed Leadership. It was a great presentation as it firstly informed about what Trauma is and how it presents itself then moved onto tips for leaders to support the people they are leading. Was great to hear the experiences and views of other participants. I recommend this training session to others. Thank you Martina.
