Coping Strategy Training - Access to Work

Coping Strategy Training can be accessed via Access to Work which can help you get or stay in work if you have a physical or mental health condition or disability.

The support you get will depend on your needs

 

Through Access to Work, you can apply for:

  • a grant to help pay for practical support with your work
  • support with managing your mental health at work
  • money to pay for communication support at job interviews.

 

Coping strategy Training is designed to help employees with hidden disabilities take control of their working lives.

 

The training and coaching is designed to teach strategies to help overcome difficulties and minimise the impact of the neurodiversity and/or disability whilst maximising your skills and potential.

              Coping skills Training may assist if you experience the following :

              • Neurological difficulties such as Strokes/TBI
              • Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and Dyscalculia.
              • ADHD and Autism spectrum conditions
              • Mental health difficulties.
              • Chronic fatigue or Fibromyalgia.

              Examples of what may be funded via Access to Work:

              • Coping strategy sessions/ Job coaching: Specialized coaching for a minimum of 10-12 hours
              • Noise-cancelling headphones
              • Voice to text software & training to use this
              • A support worker ( VA/ PA )
